• The show was spectacular - we were all impressed with the level of dancing and showmanship all around! It was really nice to have other family members unfamiliar with the academy to be spectators, and what a beautiful stage and theater,- really a high echelon of venue, respectful of the age-old art of DANCE! We enjoyed ourselves , of course it is heartwarming to see our own little 4-year old daughter up there, but we were so entertained by ALL of the performances!
Worthy of special mention: Stephanie Howell is a fabulous choreographer. I liked her immediately as my daughter's teacher, but had no idea how prolific and creative she is,
all of her numbers were wonderful; Samba ballet and "Fur Elise" in particular. Also Apphia's Pointe number was very graceful and beautiful. we were all so moved by the incredible Flore Lawrence, every move she makes is ethereal. Victoria Browne's "When Will it Stop" is very memorable too...and I was impressed with the order of the dance numbers, not an easy thing to organize, but well selected! Good flow and kept the long show moving and enjoyable.
Thank you for this recital, it felt a reward for parents' dedication...standing ovation to all of you!

This was such a great opportunity for Mattie to explore her interests in singing, musical theater and dance, and such a convenient location for two working parents. However, what started out as just an opportunity has turned into so much more. The Academy of Music and Dance is the catalyst that helped Mattie grow so much over this past year; not just in her dancing, singing and acting skills, but also her confidence, drive and spirit! • “It was just great to finally find some sort of exercise that I could do and spend time with her baby. I didn’t have to drop her off to daycare so I could get to the gym. I don’t have to feel guilty for being at the gym while my baby was at daycare, getting sick from other kids or crying the whole time I was away. I could just do the workout whenever it was a great time for both of us. The exercises were fun yet still challenging. I worked up a sweat. It’s nice to be able to do that in comfort of my own home and was able to take breaks when I needed them.”
