Ballet Classes In Pasadena CA

Read The Academy's Testimonials Below:

• “The Dance Recital was magical and beautifully done!! We loved every minute of it!!!”
- Rallion Family

• “It’s always a pleasure being a parent volunteer and watching all the children perform. All the teachers did an amazing job. It was worth all the Saturdays, and my daughter had so much fun.
Thanx!
- Susanna Ortega

• “Thank you for a fantastic dance show. Sivan is not even four yet abd was ready to get on stage again right away.

It was very creative, wonderful music and the crowd had a lot of energy. We are looking forward to your next dance show.
- Rotem Gilbert

• The show was spectacular - we were all impressed with the level of dancing and showmanship all around! It was really nice to have other family members unfamiliar with the academy to be spectators, and what a beautiful stage and theater,- really a high echelon of venue, respectful of the age-old art of DANCE! We enjoyed ourselves , of course it is heartwarming to see our own little 4-year old daughter up there, but we were so entertained by ALL of the performances!

Worthy of special mention: Stephanie Howell is a fabulous choreographer. I liked her immediately as my daughter's teacher, but had no idea how prolific and creative she is, all of her numbers were wonderful;  Samba ballet and "Fur Elise" in particular. Also Apphia's Pointe number was very graceful and beautiful. we were all so moved by the incredible Flore Lawrence, every move she makes is ethereal. Victoria Browne's "When Will it Stop" is very memorable too...and I was impressed with the order of the dance numbers, not an easy thing to organize, but well selected! Good flow and kept the long show moving and enjoyable.

Thank you for this recital, it felt a reward for parents' dedication...standing ovation to all of you!

- Nathalie Chapple (Stella Chapple's mom)

• "The classes at AMD are always fun and challenging at the same time. It's exciting because the teachers always make the classes different and I can't wait to see what we will do next." -Charlotte Morgan, student

• "The Academy of Music and Dance is so awesome! The teachers are so nice. They have expanded my dancing! They have also helped me grow as a person."

– Mattie Hamill (Voice and Dance student)

• "When the Academy of Music and Dance moved into their new studio directly across the street from our daughter's school we were thrilled! This was such a great opportunity for Mattie to explore her interests in singing, musical theater and dance, and such a convenient location for two working parents. However, what started out as just an opportunity has turned into so much more. The Academy of Music and Dance is the catalyst that helped Mattie grow so much over this past year; not just in her dancing, singing and acting skills, but also her confidence, drive and spirit! The professional instructors, artistic directors and choreography have challenged Mattie to be all she can be both in and out of the studio. Mattie loves it at the studio; the culture and tone is warm, inviting and supportive. It's been so wonderful this past year seeing Mattie so happy and knowing that when she's at the studio she's at her "other home".
- Jeannine M. Hamill

• “It was just great to finally find some sort of exercise that I could do and spend time with her baby. I didn’t have to drop her off to daycare so I could get to the gym. I don’t have to feel guilty for being at the gym while my baby was at daycare, getting sick from other kids or crying the whole time I was away. I could just do the workout whenever it was a great time for both of us. The exercises were fun yet still challenging. I worked up a sweat. It’s nice to be able to do that in comfort of my own home and was able to take breaks when I needed them.”
-Melissa Macias
(regarding the Yoga for Mommy and Baby class)

• "I had been looking for a dance studio that had the right balance between a recreational and serious approach to dance for my 3 year old daughter. And after searching high and low, I was so pleased to find the Academy of Music and Dance. The staff and teachers all have the perfect attitude to encourage young dancers to grow and blossom into graceful performers. My daughter has been taking ballet and tap at the Academy of Music and Dance since they first opened their doors last September and she continues to enjoy her lessons and looks forward to dance class each week. I am grateful that each and every staff member and dance teacher has taken the time to get to know their students and families. Their warm and welcoming attitude is greatly appreciated!"
- Katy Nielsen (Kayla, 4.5 years old)

"We absolutely love Ms. Jennifer, and The Academy of Music and Dance! Our daughter, Alison, looks forward to coming here every week. We have been coming for six months and have enjoyed every minute of it."
– Alison Garcia’s, Dad

"Stephanie and I are on the Hip-Hop Competition Team. Victoria, the teacher rocks! We love it here and we want you to join us at The Academy of Music and Dance."
– Laura Emmons and Stephanie Smith
(Teen Students, Competition Team Members)

"We can't say enough about the wonderful the teachers and staff at the Academy of Music and Dance! In one short year, the studio's Artistic Director Apphia Noel has worked miracles and created a warm, special place with great classes that our daughter loves. The studio's first dance recital reflected everything that the studio and its many students have accomplished in the last year. It was beautifully produced, well-organized, and completely enjoyable. Bravo!"
– Jody Short

"The 2008 recital was gorgeous and beautifully performed. The dancers were confident, the costumes were perfect, the music was exciting, and the range of dance styles was fun! Congratulations to Apphia, Kimberly, and Jenna for procuding a recital that displayed our dancers in a very positive light. What a great studio!"
– Lisa Groening

• "The Academy of Music & Dance offers a positive environment for my girls to learn dance and music. We have been very impressed by the teachers, the facilities and the classes."

– Barbara Emmons

• "In a very short time, the Pasadena Academy of Music and Dance proved to be a great dance school. It is incredible how many children and teenagers are in that school. I was impressed during the recital at PCC, where there was musical number after musical number with hundreds of children. Children who enjoy what they do so much that they really show it. The music, the costumes, and the lighting were a wonderful frame for those dance numbers. From the youngest children who can barely walk, to the amazing Hip Hop numbers of the older students, it was an afternoon of pure family enjoyment. Thank you to all the teachers. And three cheers for Apphia. You guys did a great job!"
- Beatriz Alcantara

• "Avalon loves the P3-4 class! The instructors run a great class and make all the girls feel welcome as well as create a wonderful learning environment."
- Rodger Dela Rosa
